We like our GE "French Door" fridge. It looks really good and functions fine. But do not think of finding it without the need of the insurance strategy. We've had to replace the central "brain". We've had to replace a door latch. We are obtaining prepared now to call for a new shelf and crisper track simply because both have broken.
I would guess that without the insurance we would soon have place as considerably in repairs as we paid for the fridge. Nonetheless, ours was a brand new model, and possibly they have worked some of the bugs out. We enjoy it. We seriously have no complaints. Just be positive you take the insurance coverage when it really is supplied. And you can be certain we'll be renewing our policy when it expires. The service has been outstanding.
We have had this fridge for much less than 1 year and so far we have had the repairman out three times. This is the most tempermental fridge I have ever owned. The previous assessment is proper - do not even Assume about purchasing this without having a service plan. So far it has frozen (and ruined) lots of produce. As soon as that got fixed the icemaker overflowed water into the bottom of the freezer (till I shut off the water). The spicket freezes exactly where you can not get water out of it (in the fridge) and you have to jack up the temperature just to get it to thaw so that you can get water from it once again. When the guy was out final week he replaced the entire ice maker. When he left it started creating this horrible sound like it is attempting to make ice or dump ice but can not. So I'm waiting on them to come out Again to repair that. HORRIBLE - do NOT purchase it.
